My blog Affiliate Intent is designed to be a step by step guide to Affiliate Marketing, encompassing many of the tips and helping you avoid some of the pitfalls I have encountered in my own Affiliate Marketing journey.
No guide to Affiliate Marketing would be complete without a simple explanation of what Affiliate Marketing is. I would describe it simply as advocating someone else’s product, directing customer traffic towards that product, and receiving a commission when a customer buys the product that you have referred.
I’m particularly bullish on Affiliate Marketing as a form of passive income. Affiliate Marketing has a big advantage over some of its counterparts in the online business game in that it once you do the initial work of content creation, funnel building or any other method of Affiliate Marketing, you can receive commissions ongoing from your hard work with no or little extra effort. No dealing with customers, suppliers or complaints – just affiliate cheques rolling in.
Ok, so it’s not quite that simple. There’s plenty of competition out there – especially for web traffic, whether you choose to use an organic or ‘free’ method such as SEO, or the paid route such as google adwords or facebook ads.
Welcome to my blog, I’ve categorised my content into my own main areas of interest, being Affiliate Tools, Autoresponder tools and SEO tools.
Autoresponder tools talks through some of the best tools and techniques to get customer retention happening whether it be through a sales funnel, or maybe a specialist offer through your site check out my article here on lead magnets).
SEO tools goes through my favourite method of traffic generation, Search Engine Optimisation. SEO is one of the most powerful and targeted methods of being able to get traffic, and has the benefit of there being a high likelihood that the traffic is interested in what you have to offer. I wrote an article here specifically on SEO for Affiliates.
